MATERIAL HANDLING & CARE

At Ovader Watch Co., we understand that the materials you send—whether ashes, soil, or sand—carry deep personal meaning. We treat every submission with the highest level of care, respect, and intention.

 

A PERSONAL COMMITMENT

Each order is handled individually and never processed in bulk. Your materials are kept separate, carefully tracked, and treated as one-of-one throughout the entire process.

 

HOW MUCH TO SEND

We require only a small amount of material to complete your piece.

- Typically, half of a tablespoon is sufficient (for 1 watch)

- Sending more is not necessary

Any excess material will be handled according to the options outlined below.

 

RECEIVING YOUR MATERIALS

When your materials arrive:

- They are logged and associated with your unique order

- Stored securely in a controlled workspace

- Prepared carefully for the creation process

 

THE CREATION PROCESS

To ensure the highest quality result, we create multiple material inlays (“Emberite™ pucks”) during production. From these, we select the piece that best represents the desired finish and aesthetic of your watch.

 

This process allows us to:

- Achieve the best visual outcome

- Maintain consistency

- Ensure long-term durability

 

RETENTION FOR QUALITY & WARRANTY

Any additional inlays or remaining materials may be securely retained for up to one (1) year after your order is completed.

This allows us to:

- Repair or recreate your dial if needed

- Support warranty claims

- Maintain consistency in the unlikely event of an issue

 

AFTER THE RETENTION PERIOD

After one year, we will contact you with options:

- Have remaining materials returned to you

- Request continued retention (if available)

- Authorize respectful handling

If we do not receive a response after reasonable follow-up, materials may be handled respectfully at our discretion.

 

RESPECTFUL HANDLING

We understand the emotional significance of these materials.

At every stage, we are committed to:

- Careful handling

- Secure storage

- Respectful treatment

Materials are never reused, repurposed, or shared across orders.

 

SHIPPING CONSIDERATIONS

We recommend using a secure and trackable shipping method when sending materials.

While we take every precaution once materials are received, Ovader Watch Co. cannot be responsible for loss or damage during transit.
